Guest AdrianYY Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 For some reason, windows vista keeps prompting me to install updates even after I've installed them. It will always pop up a icon on taskbar saying to install july 10 update. After installing I would restart my computer to complete the update. It configures before shutting down and on start, it configures again and does one more shut down before the next restart will be successful. And it will prompt me to download the same update again. Anyone can help me solve this irritating problem?

Guest Keith D Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 .. > KB929916 > KB935807 > KB936357 > KB905866 > KB933928 > KB935280 > KB937077 > Hi I had same issue what i did was from the update list i unticked all except top one and then one by one installed them until i got stuck i think i got all in except 935807 i then got a reply from M/Soft as what to do if you alter your newsgroups settings to download 1,000 headers instead of defauilt 300 you will find my posts and replies from M/Soft author will show as Keith D also have look in 1] controlpanel 2] programmes and features 3] view installed updates they may be in there if it shows yes to some clear out your temp internet files folder get rid of everything in there and re-boot that will at least clarify your situation then if still a hassle note down those not installed and do them manually from the windows site use the KB number as a search hope this helps cheers for now Keith D.
