Guest Alan T Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Should I have internet connection when running the anti-spyware program? And why? Quote
Guest Milo (MSPSS) Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 That would be an option, but I sure advice you to update your scanner first both Anti-Spyware and Anti-Virus before proceeding and quite often the best way is if your Security application have a safe mode capability scan. -- Milo MSPSS "Alan T" wrote: > Should I have internet connection when running the anti-spyware program? > And why? > > > Quote

Remember that we can't see your computer from here. In general, if you are just doing normal malware scanning as part of your maintenance program, you can scan while in Regular Mode and while connected to the Internet. If you are scanning because you suspect infection, then you should get the updates for your antispyware and antivirus programs first and then scan in Safe Mode, offline. (w/o specific information) yes. This way the anti malware application will be up-to-date. -- Dave http://www.claymania.com/removal-trojan-adware.html http://www.ik-cs.com/got-a-virus.htm Quote
