Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service

I keep being asked to download the above update ( KB928366 ) despite the fact

i have now downloaded and installed it 4 times . The little gold sheild keeps

popping up in the tray . Any ideas?

i am runnung XP SP2 with a P4

I am having exactly the same problem with an update to .NET Framework Version

2.0 (KB928365)

 

I have even tried some advice gleaned from the Knowledge base which

recommended 'repairing' .NET through the Control Panel and installing the

update manually....but the issue hasn't been solved...

 

.... anyone have a clue how to install the update and make it stick so that

the update trigger isn't pulled every few minutes?
