Guest mike Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Does any one know of a permanent way to completely delete the .NET stuff from my computer. I am sick an tired of trying to fix this patch and do not see any reason to have it on my computer.
Guest Perplexed UK Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 RE: .Net get rid of it First of all I tried for 2 hours to follow how to delete netframework 1.0 as in below email ".NET 1.1 framework installed o.k." in the supplementary/supporting information but I didn't really get anywhere then I decided to delete all the folders under Framework (I have windows on D so, D:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework) I then ran Ashampoo registry cleaner to find all the registry entries which were now orphaned, I deleted those registry entries. I set "update" so that I have to connect and decide which updates I want. All available updates were presented to me, I selected each one in turn and if it mentions .NET I selected it not to be downloaded and I hide it from future downloads. Of course you can do the above paragraph right from the start, after my failure to follow the instructions in the email, I thought what the hell just do it. All the above is so frustrating because I have two computers exactly the same (identical software too) one pc is ok the other has this .net problem. Problem solved... I doubt if MS would consider this the correct approach.... "mike" wrote: > Does any one know of a permanent way to completely delete the .NET stuff from > my computer.
