Guest Ed Y Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 I was having the common problem of KB928365 failing to install. I follwed the "George" procedure and uninstalled .net 1.1 and 2.0. (didn't have 3.0) installed). This is a WinXP Home SP2 system. I then installed 1.0 and 1.1 service pack 1. Everything fine. I then installed the security patch, KB928366. Everything fine. I then re-ran Win Update and installed .net 2.0. Everything fine. Re-ran Win Update and had 3 high-priority updates for 2.0, ie, KB917283, KB922770 and KB928365. 922770 and 928365 installed fine. 917283 failed with a error code of 0x643. Windows update now shows no high-priority uddates. What do I do now about the failed one?? Ed Y
