Tried the net framework solution, now update no longer works

I tried the solution posted here, to get the 1.1 net framework update to

work.

It hung, on trying to install the NDPI ( I think ) file , something about

patch not recognized.

I tried uninstalling Net 2.0, would not uninstall. I downloaded and

reinstalled 2.0, then went to the windows update site, and now that won't

even work for me. It scans for updates, then gives an error message -

Update:

I just tried WU again, and it worked this time, was able to download and

install the security updates for Net 2.0

However, the update for Net 1.1, still fails.

I have not downloaded , Net 3.0 as of yet.

Maybe we will get lucky, and MS will post an update to 1.1 that works... I

guess I will just hide that update for now.
