Guest Don Burnette Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 I tried the solution posted here, to get the 1.1 net framework update to work. It hung, on trying to install the NDPI ( I think ) file , something about patch not recognized. I tried uninstalling Net 2.0, would not uninstall. I downloaded and reinstalled 2.0, then went to the windows update site, and now that won't even work for me. It scans for updates, then gives an error message - -- Don [Error number: 0x80072EE2] The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. Guest Don Burnette Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Update: I just tried WU again, and it worked this time, was able to download and install the security updates for Net 2.0 However, the update for Net 1.1, still fails. I have not downloaded , Net 3.0 as of yet. Maybe we will get lucky, and MS will post an update to 1.1 that works... I guess I will just hide that update for now. -- Don "Don Burnette" <d.burnette@clothes.comcast.net> wrote in message news:eMz3TLuxHHA.1184@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... >I tried the solution posted here, to get the 1.1 net framework update to >work. > It hung, on trying to install the NDPI ( I think ) file , something about > patch not recognized. > > I tried uninstalling Net 2.0, would not uninstall.
