Guest Fishface Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Any idea how to fix IE7 locking up w/o error msg when attempting to run Windows Update??
Guest MowGreen [MVP] Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Was the installed antivirus software actively monitoring the system when IE7 was installed ? If so, suggest you uninstall IE7 from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. That will roll IE back to Version 6. Then read this prior to reinstalling it : Pre-installation advice http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install OR, give this a shot: Problems with Web sites that use Add-ons (Active X controls) http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#active MowGreen [MVP 2003-2007] =============== *-343-* FDNY Never Forgotten =============== Fishface wrote: > Any idea how to fix IE7 locking up w/o error msg when attempting to run > Windows Update??
