Guest tom b Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 When trying to install updates, this error codew comes up. As well as this, I am unable to change the settings of Windows Updates, as when I confirm changes by clicking 'ok' the page doesn't close. Finally, the shut down button on the start menu now permanently says 'installs updates and shuts down your computer.' However, when this is selected, it begins to download update 1/16, then shuts down, failing to download anything. I would be really grateful if anyone could help. I'm not really well informed about computers, so if you could try and make any solution in rather simple terms that would be great. Thanks in advance, Tom
