Guest Steve Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Has MS fixed update for kb935807 recently? I know that everyone (including myself) have been having problems with this update, but it's been a week since updates have been released but it seems that no one is having any luck what so ever.
Guest PA Bear Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 What problems? Guest MowGreen [MVP] Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Since you didn't specify whether Vista is x86 or x64, please see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935807 for a method that will get the update installed, Steve. Guest Frits den Hollander Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 On my PC Update KB935807 caused Error Code 80070002 which in turn blocked the other updates with Error Code 800F0826. I followed the instructions from Windows Help with the same result as everybody. Microsoft Help provided only "e-mail received"and no reply to my question what to do. Yesterday (7/18/2007) suddenly the updates ware all but KB935807 automatically installed. The list of installed updates showed the KB's of July 11. The new problem is that I do not trust Windows Update anymore since the update check states "your system is .. . up to date" whereas KB 935807 is not only not installed but also not present in yesterday's installation history ! I downloaded KB 935807 and it installed without problems. It seems necessary to compare the numbers of all the Vista updates with the ones installed since Windows Update can be incorrect. I deleted the update history in order to prevent error 8007003 but I always make HD images so I can check if any updates failed to install in the past.
