Guest Clayton Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 I have installed Windows Vista Basic from a RTM DVD but once install it shows Windows Vista RC1 Evaluation copy. Build 5728 in the bottom right hand corner of the screen and when I run Windows Update it gives me an error message code 8024400A
Guest Spirit Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 That is not the final version of Vista and you may never get it stabilized and your use probably will expire. BTW there was an RC2 and even it has some issues. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/preview.mspx "Clayton" <claytonbNOSPAM@xtra.co.nz> wrote in message news:Odq%23meQyHHA.1208@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >I have installed Windows Vista Basic from a RTM DVD but once install it >shows Windows Vista RC1 Evaluation copy.
