Guest GLONMO Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 A .NET Framework 1.1 update woudn't install. A MS tech rep had me remove all ..NET Framework from my PC. I then installed .NET Framework 2.0 but cannot find out if I should also download and install .NET Framework 1.1? In other words, should I install BOTH .NET Framework 2.0 as well as .NET Framework 1.1 on my PC?

You *may* or *may not* need any of them - depending on if anything you have (Video card driver/software, assorted applications, etc) need them. You'll get different advice from different people. - If you haven't noticed any trouble since you uninstalled .NET (insert version) - no worries and you don't have to reinstall it. - You should go ahead and install 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 - sooner or later you'll likely need them - just get it over with now. You'll have to decide. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
