Guest Steve Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 I have had issues with spy ware and I have been able to get that taken care of, but when I got an update alert for updating xp with service pack 2 it went through the install process and about half way through it says access denied and then it dumps what it did and says it did not install and gives me an error 0x80070005 what can I do to fix this

Guest stormigrl Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 I have to completely agree with all of you in regards to SP2, I can't Update my Windows page at all. It won't let me, I keep getting error messages. I've tried to update off the Microsoft page a zillion times and now I've officially given up. I did check to see if it was my anti-virus program and well that's sort of messed up at this point in time. I'm thinking about calling up my internet provider and asking for Tech help. I'm not sure what the heck has happened. I haven't been able to update for MONTHS now. It's massively insane. I wish someone would answer us soon. I contacted Microsoft but got "dead" answers, so I'm not sure if they are willing to help or they don't know either. Gosh, I'm stumped. Gee and Bill Gates just gets to sit there and look pretty, collecting $$ for making this possible for all of us. Gee Whiz!
