After almost 2 years of unsuccessful installation of most updates, I finally

found a cure for this error which seemed to have everyone stumped. Please

pardon me if you already know of this fix I have not been actively seeking

a cure recently.

My sincerest thanks to Patricia who posted her fix in June, 2006. It is

here:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windowsupdate&tid=9d7ef903-a471-4d4a-b4ef-f94dc045fc44&p=1

After following the instructions, WU dl'd and sucessfully installed 59

updates for me. I imagine one should be able to delete the digitally

unsigned files in the temp folder.

Thanks again, Patricia.
