Hi all,

As soon as the desktop loads on my comp (5.1.2600 winodws xp Service Pack 2

build 2600 Home edition) an error message box appears saying:

RUNDLL

ERROR LOADING w0014c65.dll

The specified module could not be found.

When it first appeared I tried system restore, still there. Next was

antivirus, spyware etc. still there. Today I found this lovely site have

searched through quite alot (but not all, eyes got very tired) questions on

DLL error messages. I downloaded CC cleaner and Dial a Fix v0.6.0.0.24 and

ran both of these in safe mode. The Bl**dy error message is still

there..ARGHHHH.

Can somebody PLEASE help me get rid of it? I'm not sure but since it

appeared everytime I try and manually download windows updates, for example

WMP ver 11 they load but will not install. Could this error be causing that

problem to, or do I have 2 lovely comp problems to fix???

Thanks all in advance for your help.

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log

to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1

(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.

It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with

assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this

isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and

independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
