Can anyone help me find a way to get round this error? It appears from log

file that there is a key that it can't access

- Unwriteable key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet

Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_RESTRICT_FILEDOWNLOAD

I don't seem to be able to change the permissions for this key either?

The subkey you posted inherits Permissions from

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE

My system shows no such subkey so it must have been created by 3rd party

security related software.

Is Spybot or a similar program installed ? That's where you should be

looking for a solution for this issue, Braveheart.
