Guest buddyorliz Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 I have had a computer for Years. Though I have had some issues, I did not know until this last issues what the event viewer was let alone was for. With-out having to go through the normal process of getting to the viewer, (to check every 10 minutes to see if something happened) Is there anyway to have it pop up when error or warnings happen? - If it had of this last time it would have saved me about 80 hours of work. Thanks, Liz Quote
Guest Roger Abell [MVP] Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 If you script/program then yes, you can have a process that waits to be notified when certain events are recorded and then take action of choice. The alerting capability as you have described is not prebuilt in the base Windows system "buddyorliz" <buddyorliz@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3E503B32-F882-4244-A3BD-33E4429D8A0F@microsoft.com... >I have had a computer for Years.
