Can a WSUS server update itself?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a Windows 2003 EE SP1 with WSUS 2 installed on it.

I modified the local Group Policy so this server can get the updates from

itself by specifying the URL as http://localhost or http://myserver.mydomain,

but it never worked. When I run wuauclt /detectnow, no new process is created

and nothing happens...

I have to do them manually by going to the Microsoft Windows Update web site.

Any reason or how can I resolve this?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

My bad: I didn't pay enough attention and I thought I was in the correct

newsgroup.

Thanks for the redirection.
