Guest Colin Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Hi all, I've just upgraded 2 PC's from XP home to Pro. These 2 PC's now won't install updates from Windows Update. They download fine but when I click 'Install', I get an error message stating that 'A problem with your computer blah blah...' Is this a known issue and if so, does anyone have a fix/workaround for this ? Many thanks. Regards Colin.
Guest Kermie Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I am having this same problem and don't see any solutions in the troubleshooting section. Anyone else having this problem? Guest Peter Foldes Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Can you complete the "blah blah". The complete error message in it's entirety would be needed -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. Guest Colin Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Hi to all who replied, Sorry but I can't remember the 'blah blah', I assumed it was a standard error message. I belive it was 'a problem with your computer prevented the installation of the following updates', followed by all 74 updates. I cannot access these PC's until Monday so I'll try again (plus a few tips I found through searching this NG) and repost. Thanks for your help. Regards Colin.
