If next Black Tuesday reflects what they inflicted on their customer

base on past Black Tuesdays, then you can change the word "wonders" to

Horrors.....

Famous quotes form the clones.... What are you talking about... It

never happened..... all those horror stories are a figment of your

imagination..... Forget our Track Record and Trust Us!

Microsoft Security Bulletin Advance Notification

The bulletin advance notification is normally made available three business days before

the regular security update release on the second Tuesday of the month. Upon release of

the security updates, the bulletin advance notification is replaced by the security

bulletin summary, which is the definitive announcement of the security update release for

the month.

Actually - it'll be Wednesday here.

Well, it will be the day after Monday and the day before Wednesday,

most likely it will be August 7th. It may be sunny, there may be

thunderstorms.

In case you ment to ask for the updates that may or may not been

released on the next Patch Day, you'll have to wait one more week

till August 14th.

*Next* Tuesday?

I cannot predict the future, but on the NEXT Tuesday (August 7, 2007 - First

Tuesday of August 2007), not much of anything in relationship to this

particular newsgroup *unless* Microsoft decides to release an update or two

a week earlier than their scheduled 'every second Tuesday of each month'.

In that vein - having to do with this particular newsgroup intentions - I

believe TaurArian already pointed you to:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/advance.mspx

So you can get 'fair warning' of how many updates, severity and what

software is affected by the Thursday before the second Tuesday of the month

(in this case, by Thursday, August 9, 2007.) There will be no confirmable

details about any particular patch until the actual release day (Tuesday,

August 14, 2007 <- second Tuesday of August 2007.)

Otherwise - I am sure there are 'Community Calendars' and events galore out

there that might tweak your interest.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22what%27s+happening%22+%22August+7%2C+2007%22

Tweak the search with 'where you live' and I am sure you can find something

to occupy your time in your area.

Good Luck!

Doesn't make any sense.

Who is "Sandi" (for those who are not members of the club)

What was Sandi's source?

Why are you quoting without stating the source?

Why are you relying on secondary sources?

Have a great day! :-)

Hi Michael,

I hope the summer has treated you well I'm glad to see you posting

Fortunately, due to a fortuitous combination of my sex and my

Somewhere here you wondered, "Who is Sandi?"

https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/Sandi

Sandi has fought against adware malware spyware foistware.

http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/darnit.html

She now is focused on IE7 and Vista, as better than XP and IE6.

They may be better at resisting malware, but I find them irksome.

Thanks Michael She's great! I came of age in the bad old days when

high school girls were discouraged from taking computer classes.

Seeing the younger women today doing well in computer science really

makes me happy.

I find Vista & IE7 annoying as well and have done what I can to stave

them off. I'm working hard to get my computers working really really

well, and image them, and save all the downloads and updates, so I can

keep XP functioning well for at least the next 5 years. And I plan to

build my own computers from scratch in the future. If I can learn

how.
