Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced on Sunday at the MWC Barcelona event its Galaxy Book2 Pro series, a flagship PC lineup featuring the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 with S Pen functionality and Galaxy Book2 Pro with 5G. Both combine flexibility and versatility for work and education with Samsung’s mobile DNA for a PC experience that is productive and portable. Samsung also announced the April release of Galaxy Book2 Business, a powerful new PC built on the vPro platform that will deliver advanced security and productivity features to help businesses conquer the new reality of hybrid work. To keep users protected, the Galaxy Book2 Pro series is the first consumer PC lineup meeting Microsoft’s secured-core PC requirements. Previously designed for enterprise PCs in high-security industries such as finance, healthcare and government, Galaxy Book2 Pro series’ secured-core PC designation delivers the highest level of protection on Windows 11 and features deeply integrated hardware, firmware and software to enhance protection against potential cyber-attacks. Now, everyone can enjoy enterprise-grade security for enhanced peace of mind. “Collaborating on the Galaxy Book2 Pro series is the next chapter in our proud collaboration with Samsung to remove barriers between different operating systems and bring the best of Microsoft apps and services to the Galaxy Ecosystem,” said David Weston, director of Enterprise and OS Security, Microsoft. “Delivering the first consumer PC with Microsoft’s secured-core PC designation is the next crucial step in this effort as today’s consumers deserve the same security protections they get in the office as they do while working remotely.” [caption id=attachment_176905" align="aligncenter" width="1024]alaxy_Book2_Pro_360_15_Burgundy_Beauty_LI-1024x683.thumb.jpg.2feeba0d6112a3100145c07d88181786.jpg Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 with S Pen[/caption] The Galaxy Book2 Pro series delivers the advantages of enterprise security inside an ultra-portable chassis with thin and light designs and new colors combined with 5G[1] and Wi-Fi 6E[2] connectivity. With up to 21 hours of battery life[3], consumers can move about their day without worrying about running low. Plus, the Galaxy Book2 Pro series’ super-fast USB-C type universal charger[4] can power every Galaxy mobile device, allowing users to carry just one charger while traveling. To provide power to do more, the Galaxy Book2 Pro series features the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors for reliable performance as users work, video call and game. And because video calls are now a part of everyday life, the Galaxy Book2 Pro series is upgraded for high-quality call experiences. Now featuring 1080p FHD webcams and wider field of view angles[5], video feeds will look clear during every call. Studio Mode[6] is also upgraded with a variety of new features including Auto Framing, which keeps users centered even when moving about the frame. New background effects and Face Effect remove visual distractions from the background while enhancing the user’s appearance. To complete the video experience, GREENGUARD-certified AMOLED[7] displays are now brighter[8] for increased clarity. Audio on the Galaxy Book2 Pro series is also enhanced. Bi-directional AI noise cancelling[9] blocks distracting noises so every word is heard. Additionally, the Max 5W output[10] Smart Amp produces balanced sound at louder volumes. Galaxy Book2 Pro series also supports AKG and Dolby Atmos sound technology. It now offers Recent Apps, allowing users to swipe up on their Windows 11 taskbar to check their smartphone’s status and even select their most recently used smartphone apps to use directly on their desktops. To protect the environment as it improves user experiences, the Galaxy Book2 Pro series delivers significant advances. Samsung recently announced a new high-performance, eco-conscious material that repurposes discarded fishing nets to reduce plastic waste in the ocean, and this material is now featured in the touchpad holder and inner bracket of the Galaxy Book2 Pro series. Expanding the presence of ocean-bound plastics in Galaxy technology, this marks a notable achievement in the company’s sustainability journey. Through Galaxy for the Planet, Samsung is delivering tangible environmental actions across its product lineup to help preserve the planet for generations to come. Additionally, new algorithms extend the battery lifecycles, and lower standby power reduces the need for frequent battery replacements. Furthermore, AMOLED panels received the GREENGUARD gold certification for eco-conscious products by the Underwriters Laboratories for minimizing VOC emissions for improved indoor air quality. Finally, Galaxy Book2 Pro series packaging uses sustainably sourced paper boxes and mold trays. The Galaxy Book2 Pro will be available in Graphite and Silver color options.
