Guest mfumbly Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 When I view available updates, I right click on the update and select "view details" which shows me the following info: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update type: Important This driver was provided by NVIDIA for support of NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 More information: http://winqual.microsoft.com/support/?driverid=2019 Help and Support: http://support.microsoft.com/select/?target=hub ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When i click the link provided for more information, it takes me to a "help and how-to page" but provides no additional information as to exactly what the update does or what issue it addresses. In XP, I could get a brief synopsis of what the update was for, it seems in Vista I cannot. Is there a way to get the actual description of what the update is for or does?
Guest Engel Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Play safe.- Don't D/L drivers from Microsoft updates, unless are drivers for a Microsoft product, Go to Nvidia web pages http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp Good luck -- "mfumbly" wrote: > When I view available updates, I right click on the update and select "view > details" which shows me the following info: > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Update type: Important > > This driver was provided by NVIDIA for support of NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE > nForce 430 > > More information: > http://winqual.microsoft.com/support/?driverid=2019 > > Help and Support: > http://support.microsoft.com/select/?target=hub > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > When i click the link provided for more information, it takes me to a "help > and how-to page" but provides no additional information as to exactly what > the update does or what issue it addresses. Guest realcestmoi Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Hi there, Do not update a driver if your hardware is working fine: if it ain't broke do not tryto "FIX "it.
