Lenovo has started its CES 2023 announcements a few weeks ahead of the annual event, unveiling several Windows 11 PCs that include ThinkPad X1 laptops that have more recycled materials, a new generation of IdeaPad Pro and a refresh of the compact IdeaCentre Mini. In line with its vision of achieving net-zero by 2050, Lenovo continues to increase its use of recycled and recyclable materials in its products and packaging, and collaborating with industry partners to help increase its devices’ energy efficiency. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 includes 90% recycled magnesium in the palm rest and a 55% recycled aluminum bottom cover, while the ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3 has 90% recycled magnesium hybrid in the palm rest and bottom cover. The new X1s include Post Consumer Content (PCC) plastic in some components. All ThinkPad laptops also qualify for Lenovo’s CO2 Offset Service. It’s easy to configure each one to your specific needs, such as adding optional up to 64GB of LPDDR5 RAM on the X1 Carbon Gen 11 and X1 Yoga Gen 8 if you have a lot of memory-intensive tasks. And when you’re spending lots of time in front of your screen, it helps to have low blue light-emitting displays with a Dolby Vision enabled OLED option that can help reduce eye strain and fatigue, certified by TÜV Rheinland. You’ll also find video conferencing improvements, a simpler login experience, better energy management and a mechanical camera shutter for more privacy. Once you get your new X1, check out the many ways Windows 11 can help you in your professional and personal pursuits, such as Focus sessions, snap layouts and Game Pass built in through the Xbox app. [caption id=attachment_177988" align="alignnone" width="1024]6_Ideapad_Pro_5i_Hero_Family-2048x2048-1-1024x1024.thumb.jpg.bcab6fd4568f43afeb2c8c82bd1f3e8b.jpg IdeaPad Pro 5i[/caption] You’ll also find these features and many more in Lenovo’s other pre-CES PCs, like the latest IdeaPad Pro 5i and IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 8, which come with an increased thermal performance. Together with the latest standard voltage Intel or AMD processors and up to an NVIDIA RTX GeForce Next-Gen Laptop GPU that make it easy to create content and transfer large data files. The new 16-inch devices have a new Dynamic Display Switch, which enhances frames per second. This, coupled with faster refresh rates of up to 120Hz, provides an overall smoother viewing experience for watching videos or gaming. You’ll also get a more expansive viewing experience thanks to a QHD+ resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. These IdeaPads also include a 25% larger touch pad, and an FHD IR camera with a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor – which makes logging in with Windows Hello faster through face recognition. An SSD expandable storage slot (available in 16-inch only) delivers more data storage options, while the USB 4.0 and Thunderbolt 4.0 mean you’ll have faster data transfer.
