Unable to use Windows Update. System crashes to this error code every time I

try to load update. Have cleared all temp file, all temp internet files,

done complete system scan and removed all tracking cookies, done startup

withput any non Microsoft services and all startups disabled. Been working

with Tech Support out of India, but still no answers.

Still looking for a clue as to how to get this back on line.

In Vista, you must run the command as an "Administrator".

there was an automatic update this morning that seems to have fixed the

update problem. Windows Defender icon in the tray is no longer there

indicating it is out of date and there is no error message when I start the

on remaining update that I don't need.
