Guest Skip R Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Maybe someone can help??? Windows Update simply won't update under using Vista Home Premium, 32 bit. (Either automatically or manually.) When I click on 'check for updates for your computer' to manually check for updates, I receive an error message saying... WINDOWS COULD NOT SEARCH FOR NEW UPDATES Error(s) found: Code 800B0100 Get Help I click on 'get help' and error code 800B0100 is NOT listed. I have 'googled' the error code and have found some others with the same problem, but none had yet gotten results. So, I really don't expect to either, but I thought I would at least try. VERY frustrating.
Guest KingB Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Yeah, I get the same problem too. I spoke to a MS tech yesterday, and he tried a bunch of stuff on my computer but nothing worked. With patch Tuesday today, I get more of the same error. He suggested that might have to reinstall vista. considering that I installed it 2 months ago, that realy sucks. I think the above link shows you where those users probably got that diagnostic tool. Try it and see if it can improve your symptom decription. Apparently this is a common problem. I also googled looking for solutions and also contacted support services. A technician also had me try a couple things which didn't work, and after reporting my results, I haven't heard back. I contacted technical support from the company that made my computer, and they told me that Microsoft apparently hasn't come up with a fix for this problem, yet. We may be waiting awhile. Draco >
