What do I do if my pin was disabled and it does not say it was because of too many failid sign in attempts?

Recently I have tried signing into my device (Asus Vivibook) and it keeps making me sign into my Microsoft account even though I have had a pin set up for the duration I have had this device. It was a sudden change because I logged into it throughout the day with no issues and then when I logged into it last night and this morning is started acting up and not letting me use my pin but instead making me sign into my Microsoft account.
