OneDrive stole my files! Will this fix work?

I am in the low Minor League when it comes to computers. I am hoping someone in the Majors can help me out. I inadvertently ran OneDrive ( few days ago) and now all of my files are gone from my Windows 11 PC and are now in OneDrive. I've seen many posts on this site with the same problem and many solutions...most of which are out of my league. Just to let you know I have Microsoft 365. Will the following fix work!? FIRST, I will unlink my PC from OneDrive. SECOND, I will Restore my PC via Norton Backup and Restore ( I back up the PC to an external hard drive). I haven't made any changes since
