Is it possible to undo a recovery from a system image to a new drive in Windows 10?

I recently upgraded to a larger but used HD. It was supposed to include a clean bootable installation of windows 10 pro as it was pulled from a working computer but it was more a recovery drive than anything. I wasn’t too upset because I already have the same OS on the drive I’m copying from. I made a system image in windows 10 and recovered it to the new drive. The drive has issues though and I need to return it. I want to return it to the state it was in before I installed it without having to format it and possibly lose the problematic settings. Is that possible?? I looked at undoing syste
