BitLocker can't enable encryption on secondary internal SSD

I've put my 4-TB SSD (Crucial MX500 3D NAND SATA; CT4000MX500SSD1) into my new laptop. It's a secondary drive mainly for back-ups and media. It was previously encrypted, but I turned off BitLocker / decrypted, so that I could start afresh with the new hardware. This process apparently completed successfully.Unfortunately, I'm getting the following error when trying to turn BitLocker on again:"BitLocker can't enable encryption on this hardware encrypting drive volume because the drive bands couldn't be enumerated."Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!
