I shut off my computer from the back and it rebooted in 32 color instead of

256. Slider won't move off 640x480. Monitor drivers are ok. I'd like to get

it back to normal. Any ideas? Thanks - Tom

If the monitor drivers were okay - you would be able to change

resolution/color depth. -)

Download and install the latest video card drivers from the manufacturer's

(that of the video card) web page. That should remedy your issue.

You likely have either an ATI, NVidia or Intel... Visit the appropriate

website for the brand you have and get the latest driover for the model you

have. If you need more assistance on this - come back and give us more

information on your system.

That's been mentioned but since my video works fine I don't see how that's

the problem. Wouldn't just be easier to reinstall the WMP5.1. If I knew how

to install drivers, I'd have my MP2 and, printer, and camera. I'm running

WIN98SE and have no idea what video card I have. Thanks again, Tom

Let's review...

You cannot change your video resolution.

Therefore - your video is not 'working fine'.

Just because you can see a picture does not mean things are working okay.

Windows 98, eh?

Get this:

http://belarc.com/free_download.html

Install/run and come back. In there is should tell you what your video card

is.
