Guest Adam Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 In the latest, "Windows Update," I've noticed that many graphics have become smooth and nice (Especially in 3D). But in cost it really lowers the preformance of Windows Media Center to a frame rate that is really terrible. I like to watch TV on my computer and this becomes very annoying. I can use system restore to revert the change, but is there any way that I can keep the change (cause it really looks nice) but not have the annoying frame rate drop?
Guest realcestmoi Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Hi there, I am assuming you took an optional driver update for whatever OS you are running which is really not a good idea unless you like problems. If so the driver smoothens the view and drops performance so your answer is no you can not revert keeping the smooth looks and keeping the previous performanc since both are arranged by the driver. Boot last known good configuration or Use system restore. Taking driver update from windows update is really not a good idea unless you like having problems. An excpetion is there for MS hardware. If your hardware works fine leave it be working fine. If a driver update is needed because the hardware does not funtion well you should download an appropite driver at the manufacturers website. Guest Adam Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 I'll use system restore, and I'll be sure not to install those updates. Thanks for your help.
