Windows Vista refuses to connect to Internet, shows up but can't connect

I installed Windows Vista recently and I can't connect to the internet.When I try and connect it shows an error, and when I click troubleshoot it says "Unknown Reason".According to Event Viewer, it says "802.11 connection failed due to unknown reason", and when I try ping it says Error 1231.I've tried the common commands such as ipconfig -reset, ipconfig -flushdns, ipconfig and more.I do have a small screenshot showing the error. It won't upload though for some reason.It is Windows Vista x64 SP2
