Windows Vista updates Failed to install

Hi, i am having trouble installing any updates that come up for Windos vista,

I click install and then after they install and my computer restarts it says

they all failed and none got installed. when i look at the details of why it

failed it keeps coming up with

Error details: Code 800703F8 its the same error code every time. Please

help.

I checked the Help link. There, it listed a number of URLs that had to be

added to IE's Trusted Zone. That worked for me.

I tryed to search for other posts of people that had the same Error code as

me but there are no other posts

From one of Taur Arian's posts, "On the WU Website, select your history of

updates - now click on failed update (red mark)

and see if there is an error code.

If there is an error code, write it down and post back or in the

alternative, do a search for the error code."

I posted the code in my origional message Code 800703F8...there are NO other

posts about this and i cannot find anything about it anywhere...Someone

please help...this has been a problem for much too long

You may have registry corruption...

or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the registry.

Does Vista show the same response to net helpmsg 1016

(in a cmd window)?

 

ProcMon may give you more clues.

i have no idea what anything you said means =/ i still need help with

this. i have 17 updates that need to be installed and none of em will work, i

need an answer for my problem i have had it for WAY too long, can someone

please give me some help in terms i can understand? this is getting ridiculus.

what you just said means nothing to me, i dont understand any of that, i need

a helpful answer in terms i can understand, more and more uptades come up and

now i have 21 that need to be installed and they allwqays just fail, i need

an answer soon i have had this problem for WAY too long now, someone please

help this is getting on my last nerve
