Lenovo thinkbook. Win 11 . I cannot change files in USB flash memory. cannot copy files to USB either

I can access to the files in the external memory /USB flash drive. I can read them; but I cannot change and save those files or I cannot copy any file from the computer to external drive/USB memory.Device manager shows USB drive as "unknown". I removed it, updated the drivers, nothing changed.I tried with different USBs on two USB ports of the laptop.I can use a mouse with a USB port.
