What will happen to Steps Recorder?

We currently use the Steps recorder functionality to track user steps/ activities to accompany the automated screenshots during User Acceptance training.With the announcement that the tool will be "phased out", I've explored the suggested alternatives and none of them perform the same function.I'd like to understand what "Phased out" actually means. Does it mean that the tool will no longer be supported, does it mean the tool will be removed following an update, does it mean the performance of the tool may reduce? If so, is there a definitive date that this will happen? Is there a plan for Mic
