Odd slow-down behaviour after disconnecting power-charger to laptop.

It's about a Dell Latitude 7430. This problem has happened twice now in recent days, but I can't replicate the problem yet as I can't see a pattern to it. The laptop is on; I disconnect its USB power-supply; then suddenly, the whole laptop becomes very slow, even when going through its shut-down procedure. Also when this happens the battery-icon in the Task-Bar continues to display a lightning-bolt even though the power has been disconnected.
