HP pen won't charge

I've had my HP ENVY for around 6 months now. When i bought the laptop, it came with an HP pen. I've rarely used the pen, so I just kept it in its case for the last few months. Today i tried charging it and the light at the end of the pen that's supposed to glow when it's charging isn't glowing (meaning it isn't charging). I tried checking the charging cable on my laptop and it worked just fine, my pen just wasn't charging. What should i do?
