Video driver … how do I troubleshoot from a blank screen?

I have a 4090 card that has been fine for months. Today not so! Unfortunately I do not know how to troubleshoot what I cannot see!When I boot, I get a black screen (actually a dark grey screen where the LCD panel backlight is on). This happens when I would normally expect to see the login screen.I can enter the bios and the screen is fine (suggesting cables/monitors are fine) but booting into W11 gives me the aforementioned ‘black’ screen.After four reboot efforts I get the windows ‘something seems to be wrong’ screen … which implies that W11 can use the screen if it wants to and why I suspect
