How to change icons for shortcuts pinned to Quick Access in the File Explorer?

I'm freaking out! I've been desperately trying to change the icon for hours, tried symbolic links, shortcuts to shortcuts and all that sketchy stuff but no success. As soon as you pin a shortcut to Quick Access, it WILL always show the icon of the folder it links to. Outrageous!Edit: You might say "Okay, just change the icon of the linked folder lol". Nope, that's not possible, unfortunately, since it's a Google Drive folder that will automatically revert to its original look once you try to change it.
