Want to detect networked USB: New home PC can see second networked PC, and second PC can see shared USB attached to router, but new PC cannot see shared USB drive

I have a new Windows 11 Home PC. I am trying to enable it to detect and read files on the shared USB drive attached to my network router, but the new PC can’t detect it. Bear in mind that I have a second PC (also Windows 11 Home) that CAN detect the USB drive attached to the router, so I know that I’ve got the right IP address for the router and that the sharing settings for the USB drive are correct for sharing across the network.
