My crop screen no longer works. The photo was normal in the beginning - but when I ask to crop it goes to a small 3:2 size image and I cannot do anything with it. Why?

How can I fix this problem - when I look online I see that many other people are having the same problem - but no answers. It always worked - but no longer... I use photos I take for my business - but I cannot do anything at all to them except basically change backgrounds - NO CROPPING!
