How to completely (100%) remove OneDrive and any connection to it?

My PC does not have OneDrive installed on it, anywhere, yet buried in my user profile there it is with all of my files, I hate it and I do not want my files in the cloud ever. The issue is a few weeks ago, I came across an issue with saving an Excel file and it defaulted to a OneDrive save folder. That got me to investigate where it is saving it; low and behold in my User folder I have a nested OneDrive folder that is now the default save location. I want everything locally saved and I can manually control what and where I back up my files but to my surprise I cannot move those files or remove
