duplicating displays without using windows features, how can it be done?

I have an all Ryzen pc and i am trying to get my 21:9 monitor to work with my 16:9 capture card (which acts as a monitor) and it's been impossible because i tried using obs to duplicate the screen but it was grainy and didn't work right. I have found nothing else to help me except maybe these forums? can you guys solve this?
