Microsoft Windows Bulletin Board

I have Windows 11 home edition.I believe after some updates, now all of a sudden when i restart the laptop I get a blue screen asking which system to boot into - however both say the same thing: "Windows 11 volume 3"...the top one does boot the machine up - I have never tried the second for fear of really messing this laptop up. How do I get rid of this second Windows volume 3? In addition, a deep clean scan of "Windows update cache" ( on a 3rd party Defrag program called O & O) it now shows almost 200,000 files taking up almost 12 GB.!! What is this and can they be deleted?Thank you!!
