I just bought my new thinkpad t14s. I uses the network drive U: on both the new laptop (ThinkPad T14s) and my old laptop (ThinkPad T14) . I ran a Python script on my new laptop that writes a shapefile (approximately 400KB) to the drive. Surprisingly, this process took around 200 seconds. However, when I ran the same script on the old laptop, it completed in just about 1 second. Both laptops were connected to the same wifi at the same time during these tests. I was wondering if there might be any settings on my new laptop that could be affecting the writing speed to the network drive. ?
