Windows 11 Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I recently purchased a new HP desktop with Windows 11 which does not have a DVD r/w drive. I have several DVD's with programs that I need to install so I purchased external drive. To test it, I first installed it on my old Win 10 desktop to see if it would install, which it did. However, when I attempted to install it on the new machine I get the message "unexpected error when accessing registry" which is then followed by error code 357, invalid drive. When I looked around online for a solution there were a number of options, most which I didn't understand. Is this a familiar problem?View the full article Quote
