problems with new update, help!

for like the past month or so, my pc has been bothering me about needing a new update and yesterday it was running so slow so i finally decided to. the thing is i’ve TRIED updating it a few times but everytime i did the wifi button completely went away and so id have to restore it back to an old update. I kept on doing this but yesterday when I was doing it, I tried to go back, but it didn’t let me, saying that the option was unavailable on my pc. i’ve tried everything to fix it and I didn’t really know what category to put this under but it’s more updates than Wi-Fi.
