Gmail account locked as I forgot password

hi I bought a new laptop for my nephew and I started creating gmail account but I don't know what happened it tool me straight to password option as the e-mail was not created already and asked me the password I put the password and the laptop starts operating as normal .but when I tried to login in next time it said to me that password is wrong and I attempted few times to login but it got locked and now the problem is that the email I created was not registered as gmail account now I am stuck as I cam not recover the password because email is not existed and gmail does not allow using _ in t
