I have been unable to upgrade my PC from Win 10 to Win 11. I receive an error message 0x80070003 - 0x40008 and I must retry, always unsuccessfully. Can you help me?

I have been using Windows Installation Assistant to install Windows 11 on a machine currently running Windows 10. The assistant tells me thet the PC meets the minimum spec and proceeds with the install. The installation gets through step 3: Installing and gets to the update check. Finally I get a message that Setup has encountered a critical error with the error code 0x80070003 - 0x40008
