All sounds and notifications are turned off. Everything has been checked. But still a chime rings every few minutes.

I know this question has been asked before, but no answer has ever worked. Also, the advice seems to be for one person's rare glitch, i.e., hard drive corruption, a faulty app, etc. This problem seems to be RAMPANT -- thousands and thousands of people seem to have it. So there's got to be a better answer out there. I keep getting a notification sound on what seems to be a random basis and I cannot find anything that tells me what it is. Nothing shows up in event viewer and I cant find anything else that points to it. There are no banners or anything else to tell me what it is either. I tried
