Windows 11 Professional To Go installed on flash drive. Not able to download Windows updates. Have been able to download updates in the past.

I have Windows 11 Professional installed on a flash drive. I use the flash drive on a Windows 11 Laptop. I boot to the Windows To Go Flash Drive. I have been doing the monthly updates for several months in the past. I tried to download the March 2025 updates. I would be able to download the cumulative update up to 6%. It does not go beyond. I made 3 different attempts and got the same results over a 3 day period. I have tried the Windows update troubleshooter. It has failed all 3 times.
